About Karagiri
Karagiri is an India-based direct-to-consumer saree brand, founded in 2017 by Pallavi Mohadikar Patwari and Dr. Amol Patwari, and now part of Mensa Brand Technologies Private Limited. Born from a weaver-community heritage and Pune's handloom roots, Karagiri brings India's great weaving traditions — the Kanjivaram of Tamil Nadu, the Banarasi of Varanasi, the Paithani of Maharashtra, Tussar, Patola, Chanderi, cotton, linen and contemporary organza and georgette — to shoppers across the country, online, with clear information and fair prices
What we do
We curate and sell sarees across every major weave and occasion — bridal, wedding-guest, festive, office and everyday — with sarees starting from around ₹1,949 and running up to heirloom-grade handloom pieces. Every product page states its composition plainly, so you always know whether you're buying pure silk or an art-silk / soft-silk blend.
What we stand for
- Honest labelling. We distinguish pure silk from art silk on every product, and price each accordingly.
- Range for real life. From a ₹1,949 mulmul cotton for the office to a Paithani for a wedding, we cover the full calendar of an Indian wardrobe.
- Guidance, not just products. Our editorial hub, Sareepedia by Karagiri, publishes buyer's guides — how to spot an authentic Banarasi, the types of silk sarees in India, what to wear to each wedding ceremony, and more.
