The Kanchipuram silk saree is a traditionally handwoven cloth made out of mulberry, which gives it its unique characteristic. Made in the bylanes of the town of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, India, and known for its temples with distinct architecture as well as being called “the City of Thousand Temples” to give you an idea of just how amazing this city really is! Historically speaking though, evidence can be traced back around 400 years ago during the reign of King Krishnadevaraya (1509-1529 AD) when he encouraged weavers from other parts such Indian subcontinent like Varanasi who migrated here due to his patronage so they could teach their skills.
In an age-old town in Kanchipuram, India stands one of the most beautiful weaves on Earth. The famous Mulberry Silk Saree is a traditionally handwoven saree made out of mulberry silk and was originally created within this region many centuries ago during the reigns of kings. This elegant fabric has been celebrated for its luxury as it’s durable with a high sheen and exquisite texture that only gets better after every wash! These saris are now found worldwide and can be purchased by those who seek to add some class into their wardrobe or simply want to own such a spectacular piece from what locals call “The City Of Thousand Temples."

Making of a Kanchipuram Silk Sari

The Sri Lankans have perfected the art of weaving and crafting these saris with such precision that even a single broken thread would be an insult to their craftsmanship. The silk used in Kancheevaram is made up of three threads, which makes it more durable and heavier than other types of silks making for superior quality clothing.
The silk used in Kancheevaram saris is of the finest quality. You can tell by just looking at it because every thread is intact and carefully prepared before being weaved into a beautiful, majestic design that will last for years to come. The double warp makes this fabric durable enough to withstand your day-to-day life while still retaining its elegance, style, and charm - making these pieces one of our most popular items!
The carefully processed and prepared mulberry silk thread in the chosen color is selected for the Sari. The silk used in the Kancheevaram sari is of a finer quality, not cut or broken. Moreover, it's made from three threads twisted together to make one thicker strand which makes it more durable when compared with other silks!

The finely processed Mulberry Silk Threads are picked up along with matching colors that each have their own significance according to Indian tradition. For instance, green stands for prosperity while red signifies love - but they can also symbolize courage as well depending on what you want them to represent at any given time...

Draping and Accessorizing

The Kanchipuram Silk Sari is a traditional 9-yard sari that represented the culture of designing and patterning temple stories. Over time, these sarees were converted to 6 yards with gold zari weaving which can be draped in a normal way around one's waist. One must start at the end opposite from the bright colored Pallu wrapping it all around themselves as they go up to their body until finally draping over both shoulders like an epaulet on each side for some added flair!
