- Always place your Raw Silk Sarees on a cotton cloth or paper.
- Every 3 months, dry your Raw Silk Saree in an airy place. It is important for sarees to get fresh air every once in a while
- Do not dry sarees in the hot sun as they may lose their colour.
- Do not hang the Raw Silk Sarees on iron hangers.
- Do not wash the sarees often. You can give them for dry cleaning but a lot of dry cleaning isn’t recommended.
- Use light detergent soaps.
- Do not wash in hot water. Use only cold water.
- Do not soak the sarees in detergent. Only apply light detergent and gently wash with your hands.
- Do not squeeze or twist the sarees while washing. Handle sarees as gently as possible.
- Do not use any brush, as it may damage the Zari and leave marks on the saree.
Dry the saree immediately after washing. don’t squeeze the raw silk saree to get rid of water.
- As mentioned above, dry in a shady place and never directly under the sun.
Always iron the sarees on medium heat. Do not iron along the previous folding lines of the saree.
