Indian tussar silk originated from the state of west bengal. It’s also known as tropical tussar. It is majorly produced in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh. Currently Jharkhand is one of the largest producers. Globally it is produced in China, Srilanka and Bangladesh. Today, Tussar silk is being produced all over India because of technological innovations.
